Devonport High School

The Tasmanian Government is investing in new and upgraded education infrastructure.

Devonport High School will undergo a $10.5 million redevelopment, providing new state-of-the-art learning facilities for Years 7 to 12 students.

Community Engagement

The initial stage of community engagement provides opportunity for the school community, local residents and businesses to provide input to help shape the school’s redevelopment.

Phase 1 of community engagement for the redevelopment of Devonport High School was completed in April 2019.

Project Initiation & Planning

Project initiation and planning informs development of a concept master plan.

This stage was completed in the first half of 2019.

Development of Master Plan

Development of a concept master plan based on feedback from the community, and input from the project working group and key stakeholders.

This stage was completed in the late 2019.

Community Engagement

The second phase of engagement provides opportunity for the community to review the draft concept master plan via this website and other channels.

Phase 2 of community engagement was completed in March 2020.

Design

Design development of the approved concept master plan in readiness for tendering and construction was completed in mid-2020.

 

 

Construction

Construction commenced in August 2020.

 

Completion

Construction is expected to be completed in early 2022.
