Stage one of the $12.45 million upgrade of Montello Primary School is now complete, marking a major milestone in the redevelopment.
The Tasmanian Government funded works have included refurbishment of learning spaces and amenities on the lower ground floor, as well as a new teaching kitchen, canteen, and student dining room on the upper ground floor.
A new playground has also been installed at Montello Primary School as part of the Tasmanian Government’s $10 million Playground and Sports Court Upgrades Program.
Through the Playground and Sports Courts Program, 103 schools across Tasmania will receive upgrades to these facilities, with projects underway at Elizabeth College, New Norfolk Primary School, Newstead College, and Rosny College.
The next stage of the redevelopment works at Montello Primary School will focus on the early childhood area, administration, and student support spaces. Work is expected to be completed in late 2026.
