DECYP’s Independent Education Review Implementation Plan (2025–2027) provides a roadmap for implementing the review’s recommendations to improve outcomes for Tasmania’s learners.

It also highlights what has already been achieved. Considerable progress has already been made against the four priority recommendations of:

  • Strengthening the existing Lifting Literacy initiative
  • Implementing a new school staff wellbeing model
  • Improving alignment between our school education system and the University of Tasmania
  • Getting ready to trial a multi-school organisation (MSO) model.

Government, Catholic and Independent school sectors are working together to implement the IER reforms.

The plan will be updated annually to reflect progress.

The Department for Education, Children and Young People’s Independent Education Review Implementation Plan (2025–2027), (1MB,PDF) is available on the DECYP website.
