Our Foster Care community is made up of lots of different people from all areas of Tasmania

We welcome carers who may:

  • be single or have a partner
  • have parented their own children or not
  • own or be renting their home
  • have full or part time work, stay at home, study or are retired
  • be from any culture or religion
  • have any sexual or gender orientation.

Life Without BarriersLife Without Barriers is a not-for-profit, social purpose organisation and Australia’s largest provider of out-of-home care services. Across Tasmania, Life Without Barriers is looking for caring and nurturing people that can provide children and young people with a safe and supportive home. We welcome carers who are single or a couple, LGBTIQA+, working or retired, with or without children of their own, from all backgrounds and cultures. Key AssetsKey Assets is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing safe and secure homes for children and young people in need of foster care in Tasmania. It is currently funded to provide sibling group services in throughout Tasmania.03 6283 1900 (Statewide)
Glenhaven Family CareGlenhaven Family Care is a Tasmanian Christian community organisation providing support to children and their families for over 60 years. Our carers provide care for children 0-18 years old for as little as one weekend a month up to fulltime, long term care. We provide care to children who are unable to live at home as well as a community respite program. KennerleyKennerley is a private, not-for-profit organisation run by a volunteer board, and has been working with vulnerable Tasmanian children since 1869. It offers respite care for foster and kinship carers as well as a community respite program to allow vulnerable families to have a break from parenting.03 6107 9300 (South)
