Newstead College is a government senior secondary school for students in Years 11 and 12. It is in Newstead, a suburb of Launceston, Tasmania. Established in 1997, the College caters for approximately 500 students. It has modern classrooms, excellent specialist teaching areas and industry standard workshops.
The College is a safe, friendly and inclusive learning environment. Our curriculum covers an extensive range of TASC, VET and UTAS courses. We place emphasis on both academic and vocational pathways and work closely with the University of Tasmania and industry. Many students combine academic subjects with a vocational program.
