Course description
The Copilot Chat Velocity Program is a Microsoft‑led training program, facilitated by the Digital Inclusion team, designed to support the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) educators to confidently use Copilot Chat as part of their everyday work and teaching practice.
The training provides information about Copilot, including:
- core capabilities of Copilot Chat
- the art and science of effective prompting
- features of the Create and Teach module
- how to reduce time spent on everyday teaching tasks
This training is intended for educators who are new to Copilot Chat and are seeking a foundational understanding of how the tool can support productivity and teaching practice. It does not cover advanced AI tools and is not intended to be a comprehensive user guide for Copilot Chat.
Course outcomes
- Use Copilot Chat effectively and responsibly to improve productivity.
- Apply structured prompting to achieve better AI outputs.
- Integrate Copilot Create and Teach modules into teaching scenarios to support lesson planning and resource development.
