The Staff Wellbeing Webinar Series are expertly facilitated by professionals from our wellbeing partner Bupa. Our diverse range of facilitators and guest speakers bring extensive knowledge and experience in promoting mental and emotional health. Each session is tailored to address the unique challenges of our workplace, providing practical strategies to cultivate a positive mindset and effectively integrate work and personal life. Participation in these sessions is voluntary, but we highly encourage you to share this enriching opportunity.

Healthy Lifestyle Habits

With the busy demands of modern life, sometimes looking after our health can take a back seat, and we can slip into unhealthy habits. When we find that achieving our health needs becomes a challenge or are lacking in motivation, we may slip into routines that may work in the short term but have negative impacts on long-term wellbeing.

Healthy Sleep

Healthy Sleep is such an important part of our everyday existence. Many of us are completely unaware of what the right amount of sleep is, the type of sleep we should be getting and the impact a deficit of sleep can have on our everyday lives. We have all been through stages in our lives where we have not had enough quality sleep.

Sit Right Seminar

This 60-minute seminar focuses on minimising body strain and covers the holistic issues with sedentary work.

Emotional intelligence @work

This session provides a useful definition of emotional intelligence. The concepts of self-awareness, the connection between our thoughts, feelings and actions, empathy and self-regulation will be covered. Participants can develop their own action plan for handling themselves better and helping others to build upon their own self-awareness and empathy levels. All the material presented is evidence-based and it challenges people to make minor changes in how they think and behave to achieve better productivity and enhanced personal wellbeing.

Maintaining your mental health in winter

The colder weather can be challenging on both physical and mental health. In this seminar, participants will learn about some of the common mental health challenges that people experience over the colder months and the benefits of health promoting behaviours such as connecting with others, practicing mindfulness, and getting out into nature.

Guest Speaker Ernie Dingo – Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026

Ernie Dingo has played a significant role in promoting a broader understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. He has established himself as one of Australia’s finest contemporary actors.

 A passionate advocate for his people, Ernie has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 1994, he was named ‘Aboriginal of the Year’ by the NAIDOC Committee, and in 1997, he was recognised as one of Australia’s top 100 ‘national living treasures.’

Understanding neurodiversity in the workplace

This one-hour seminar guides participants through the major types of neurodivergence and their specific features and experiences. It highlights the benefits of a neurodiverse workforce and offers valuable insights into how to support neurodivergent employees, build stronger teams, and foster a more inclusive, productive, and innovative workplace.
Key learning outcomes
Participants can expect to gain from this session an ability to:

  • recognise the different forms of neurodiversity in particular ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and dyspraxia.
  • identify the barriers and challenges for neurodivergent colleagues in the workplace.
  • appreciate the strengths that neurodivergent individuals can bring to the workplace.
  • identify how diverse needs may present in the workplace and apply strategies to support neurodivergent employees.
  • implement inclusive language and apply practical strategies to promote neuroinclusive culture.

27th August – 10:00am – 11:00am
Burnout Busters

Participants can expect to gain from this session an ability to:

  • relate burnout to the physiology of stress and its impact on our physical and mental wellbeing.
  • appreciate the specific components of burnout and the impact of prolonged remote work.
  • identify the warning signs and risk factors: when hyper-productive and remote working can wear us down.
  • apply some evidence-based techniques for reducing experiences with fatigue and mitigating burnout risk factors in high-performance environments.
  • activate self-care techniques longer term along with ways to help colleagues de-escalate stress, take stock, and take a break.
  • identify where to go for help and support.

2nd September – 10:00am – 11:00am
Manual Handling

Participants will walk away with an understanding of the main principles of manual handling and how to avoid strain on the body, an understanding of the principles of risk assessment and employee rights and responsibilities.
This seminar will look at:

  • The four main principles of manual handling
  • How to conduct a risk assessment and modify the workplace to minimise risks  
  • The importance of consultation with colleagues and team leaders
  • Basic worker rights and legislation

Women’s Health Seminar

When you understand the risk factors for some key health issues facing women you can manage your health better. Knowing what to look out for helps you make positive changes and seek help when you need it, to help you stay healthy for as long as possible.

20th October – 10:00am – 11:00am
Understanding Menopause

Aims to raise awareness and understanding of menopause, help debunk myths, and offer practical guidance for employees – whether they are experiencing menopause themselves or supporting a partner, family member, or colleague.
Key learning outcomes:

  • Understand what menopause is and why it occurs, including pre-, peri-, and post-menopause.
  • Understanding common symptoms, including what to expect, how severe they might be, and how long they could last.
  • Strategies to help alleviate symptoms, including suggested lifestyle changes, hormone therapy, and other treatments.

Help debunk common myths and misconceptions.

28th October – 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Guest Speaker for Women’s Health

Dr Helena Popovic, MBBS, is a medical doctor, best-selling author, and international speaker. Her mission is to educate rather than to medicate.

Helena’s speaking topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Boost your brain
  • Menopause
  • Health professional self-care – Do you practice what you preach?

4th November – 3:30pm – 4:40pm
The art of Zen seminar

This 60-minute session introduces the notion of mindfulness, with guidance on how to live more in the moment and train your mind to have a rest occasionally. Simple meditation exercises are explained and tips for staying focused and relaxed are provided.

12th November – 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Men’s Health Seminar

This seminar explores how times of great uncertainty impacts us, highlighting which aspects of mental and behavioural health are most likely to be affected. It takes a practical and proactive approach to help individuals adapt, build resilience, and maintain their mental health with flexible thinking and emotional regulation. It also outlines how to help limit anxiety contagion, which is a significant threat during times of uncertainty.

26th November – 10:00am – 11:00am
Back care

Participants will walk away with an increased understanding of the three key areas to prevent back pain and how to use exercise and stretching to improve each of these functions: This is a fun and interactive seminar that includes self-testing and stretching. Clear direction given on how to optimise back care along with the tools and tips for effective and suitable exercises based on specific symptoms, current work role, and current lifestyle.

3rd December – 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Exercise and Fitness

Participants will walk away with a greater understanding of the importance of regular exercise, ideas regarding how to fit exercise into life routines and an awareness of the types of exercise most suitable to the individual.

  • Developing a program
