The program covers early intervention and de-escalation, trauma-informed practice, and safe, consistent responses to incidents considering varied school contexts and approaches.

It also covers practical strategies for Teacher Assistants working with students who have diverse learning support needs.

It is for all Teacher Assistants to address Action 3 of the Violence in Schools – Keeping Staff Safe Action Plan

Registrations are open now via MyCareer – MyCareer: Teacher Assistant Online Conference

TAs who are unable to attend on 5 June will be able to complete learning through MyCareer, with flexible, session-by-session catch-ups (recordings and modules) available after (date to be advised) through to December 2026 to fit in with school needs.

 On the day:

Teacher Assistant’s need to Register individually. 

Delivery will be flexible to allow for TAs to participate individually or in a group context, depending on local needs and arrangements.
