The Stage 1 works plan for a $15.1 million redevelopment of Cambridge Primary School has been released.

The planned works will provide Cambridge students and staff with modern, high-quality learning facilities.

Stage 1 of the redevelopment includes construction of multiple new learning spaces and significant refurbishments of existing facilities, including the library, canteen, break-out spaces, sensory rooms, staff offices and covered outdoor areas, as well as extensive landscaping and playground design.

Stage 2 will see construction of a new gymnasium and supporting facilities in collaboration with the Clarence City Council, with consultation on this development to be undertaken by the Council.

The works plan was developed by the local project architects Bence Mulcahy in collaboration with the Cambridge Primary School and Department for Education, Children and Young People representatives.

Works on Stage 1 of the redevelopment are expected to begin in late 2023, subject to the outcomes of the tender process for a building contractor.

Public consultation on the Stage 1 works plan for Cambridge Primary School will be open from March 21 to April 14.
