You can enrol in up to 50% of your course load through VLT.

How VLT works

You remain enrolled at your school or college and learn through a combination of:

  • Live lessons with your teacher and classmates from all around the state.
  • Independent learning activities completed at times that suit your study schedule.
  • Course content accessed online through Canvas.

Staying at your school

  • When you study through VLT, you remain enrolled at your school or college.
  • You have a mixed timetable of classes at your school, and classes online with VLT.
  • Your school continues to provide support and wellbeing services, while VLT teachers deliver your selected course/s online.

Available support

  • Your school will appoint a Virtual Learning Facilitator (VLF) to support you.
  • The VLF will work with your VLT teachers to monitor your progress and help resolve any issues that may arise during the course.

VLT offers senior secondary learning options including:

  • TASC-accredited courses across a range of learning areas.
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications
  • Recognised formal learning, including Applied Capability Qualifications and the International Big Picture Learning Credential.
