Early childhood education and care staff can now access free online literacy training.
The Department and the Australian Early Development Census are providing two training modules:
- Qualiteach Birth to Five Literacy Training Modules – help ECEC staff support literacy development for children in their care.
- AEDC Professional Learning Modules – help them use AEDC data in their work and planning.
Services with 85 per cent educator completion can be recognised as Lifting Literacy Champions. Complete both modules and centres can reach Super Lifting Literacy Champions status.
Educators can complete the training at their own pace.
