Every day, DECYP staff help create bright lives and positive futures for children and young people across Tasmania.
This year, we are proud to recognise colleagues who have reached important long-service milestones. This includes employees who have completed 25, 40 or 50 years of service in the Tasmanian State Service.
In September, 157 DECYP employees received a 25 Years of Service Award.
More recently, 17 DECYP employees were recognised through the Premier’s Long Service Recognition Awards for reaching 40 or 50 years of service.
These milestones reflect years of dedication to children, young people, families and communities. They also highlight the experience, knowledge and commitment of our workforce.
Our recipients have worked in many different roles and locations across Tasmania. Some have taught students in classrooms. Others have supported children and families through frontline services or worked behind the scenes to help deliver important programs and support.
Those recognised for 40 and 50 years of service have seen decades of change. They have shared their knowledge, supported colleagues and helped shape the services we provide today.
While every career journey is different, all recipients share a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
We thank all award recipients for their service and contribution to Tasmania. Their impact can be seen in the people they have supported, the teams they have strengthened and the communities they have helped serve.
