Course description

This 45-minute online session supports school leaders to strengthen the collection, monitoring and use of attendance data. Participants will explore practical approaches for improving data accuracy, identifying attendance patterns and embedding systematic data review processes. Resources and tools to support implementation will be provided. For a deeper exploration of this topic, participants may wish to enrol in the full-day Establish foundational attendance conditions: shared priority, data and processes workshop.

Course outcomes

Participants will develop a deeper understanding of:

  • recording and maintaining accurate attendance data
  • using attendance data to identify trends, monitor patterns and inform action
  • embedding systematic approaches to reviewing and monitoring attendance data
  • using practical tools and resources to support attendance improvement within their school context
