Course description
This day-long live session will support secondary leaders and teachers with plans for implementing text-based units in 2027. Leaders will learn about the structure of the units, how schools can plan for implementation and ways that teams of teachers can begin adjusting units to suit their school context. The sessions will take teams through key elements of early unit use, and potential enablers and barriers. Participants will have the opportunity to build on the learning that they have done in their contexts, developing and codifying additional adaptive practices.
Course outcomes
Literacy leaders will be better prepared to lead the implementation of text-based units and guide school-level preparation for these units. They will have a deeper level of understanding about the text-based units, their principles and how they can be implemented.
